It has been tried to give a brief qualitative treatment of the well-known
three-body problem. The restricted problem of three bodies is studied and
possible regions of motion according to the "energy of the system are explained.'.
The general problem is also studied qualitatively using1the Jacobian coordinates,
the Lagrange - Jacobi eqation and the Sundman inequality for the moment
of inertia and energy of the system .
