A thorough study on the possibility of using Topex-Poseidon satellite altimetry data for DTM generation over the land area has been conducted.
The geographical region of Iran has been selected as the test region. The study proves that repeated observations of Topex-Poseidon satellite are a valuable source for increasing the precision and resolution of existing DTM’s.
