Study of Curved Crystal Spectrometer and Investigation of Variation of Line Width.

Abstract

In this study different types of spectrometer curved crystal , NaI (TI) scintillation detector
and semi conductor has been compared, for efficiency and line width. Although the efficiencies of curved crystal spectrometers are very low, their resolutions is better than any other a and y rays
spectrometer. That is why these spectrometers are still used. The disign, the automation for crystal
rotation and automation for angular position reading arc briefly explained, for curved crystal
spectrometer whsch was used , the calibration curve is obtained and the line width versus the
diaphragme aprture was measured .
