Dynamic behaviour of solvent extraction processes

Abstract

The dynamic behaviour of these processes involves the relationships between
time de pendent inputs and the output variables which also vary with time.
The unsteady - tate characteristics of processes are important in two
classes of problems; viz :
I - Start up problems
II -Control problems
In the present paper a simplified treatment of the dynamic behaviour of
a mixer - settler unit is considered , first theoretically and then experimentally.
Also the literatuer on solvent - extraction dynamics is reviewed and
discussed .
