Simulation Of Mutually Coupled Branch Outages, Line -End Fault, and Sliding Fault For Direct Compensation
Abstract
Among the studies related to power systems are the contingency analysis for judging the system security and short circuit study for relay coordination. Due to continuous and repeated performation of these studies for different system configurations, the solution algorithms but also on applied numerical techniques.
Compensation and partial matrix refactorization are two methods that are often used for conducting these studies. In the first part of this article the compensation method is briefly covered. In the proceeding sections, algorithms for simulating the outages of mutually coupled branches, line-end sliding faults, to be used in compensation method, will be presented.
