Characterization of copper anode slimes from BICC

Abstract

Anode slimes are a by-product of the electrolytic copper refining Process, which contain the precious and other important metals .In order to find a suitable method for treating these materials it is necessary to know their phase composition.
For the separation of various phases from the complexmixture of copper anode.
slime, the slime is leached in various steps and the residues of each step are
examined.
The slimes from BICC contained the following compounds: Cu Ag Se;(Au,Ag)Te2;S-Ag2se; cu7S4; As20 3,PbSb2o5; PbS04; sno2;SbAS04;
AgCl It was recongnized by SEM that AS20 3 - Particles are in the form of rectangulars. Some of The CuAgSe.Particles are in the form of a ring.
