A Dynamic Educational Planning for Education of Electrical Engineers

Abstract

After development of a great concern (in last decade) about the adequacy and fidelity of the undergraduate educational program of electrical engineering in the Electrical Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology, a committee was assigned in 2004, to identify the shortcomings of the program and initiate a dynamic, restructured program to satisfy the educational requirement of a graduate electrical engineer in the related fields, and to implement the advanced educational methodologies employed by the pioneer universities in the world. Finally by the end of 2006, according to the mission of Electrical Engineering Department, an educational program was developed to educate the electrical engineers who can fulfill the expected duty in the country. This program has been implemented from 2007 in Sharif University of Technology. The main goal of this paper is to present, briefly, the principles of this dynamic educational planning which was not possible to be discussed in the authors' previous publication [1] about this new program.
