Information technology (IT) is now widely in use in social .economical and cultural domains all over the world. IRAN has a forty years long experience in academic computer science education besides more than seven years of experience in IT education. Due to increasing importance of IT application in today's human life and its improving and dynamic nature, it seems to be necessary to consider IT education situation in IRAN seriously to provide the capability of supporting national supporting documents. In this paper by criticizing cons & pros of academic IT education plans in IRAN solutions to interdisciplinary education plans developing, education based training in B.Sc. level and research based training in M.Sc. and Ph.d levels, course contents generation based on knowledge areas and knowledge units will be proposed. Review and verification of course chains to satisfy current and future needs requires developing new courses such as information technology ethics besides some promoting IT by Persian language.
