In general, small amounts of surfactants can change the mass transfer coefficients in the numerous processes such as vaporization, extraction and absorption.
This research is aimed at investigating the effect of the surfactants in the water vaporization. Aniline, Normal - amylalcohol, and 1-Butanol were used. At first, in order to calibrate the apparatus, pure water mass diffusivity was measured.
Then the diffusion coefficients associated with surfactants were determined. The final results showed that the presence of these surfactants can decrease the water vaporization as much as 30%.
