Processing of barium and strontium hex ferrites from Iranian raw materials
has been investigated in this paper.
Analysis of the XRD and SEM results confirm that the phase composition and particle morphology of the products are
affected significantly by the type of starting materials. The results also revealed that, ultra- fine particles of barium hex ferrite could be produced from barium carbonate and synthetic iron
oxide. The presence of impurities of natural iron oxide prevent the formation of hex ferrite phase.
