Abstract

The relation between surfactant concentration and stability of gas-liquid foams was studied. We considered the
time of bed foam collapse as a symbol of
foam stability. Isopentanol, n-pentanol, Isopropyle alcohol, cyclohexanol, Acetic acid and Aniline have been chosen as the foaming agents. The relation between stability and surfactant concentration for all these materials was the same which can be also proved by the dimensional analysis. The final relation was t =KCI/3.
In this relation t is the time of bed collapse and C is the surfactant concentration. K is dependent on physical properties.
