On the Stability of Beam-Columns
on Discrete Elastic Foundation
Abstract
The buckling properties of uniform beam-columns resting on regular elastic
foundations is investigated. The analysis is based on the usual assumptions of the
beam theory. The analysis presented in this paper is argued to be exact since
the final solutions satisfy both the governing equation of bending and the prescribed
boundary conditions
