The effect of 15, 25 and 35 degrees of swirl angles

experimentally investigated with the help of a phase Doppler anemometer. It was observed that
as the swirl angle increased from 15 to 25 and then to 35 degrees, the droplet size decreased
from 95,um to 88,um, showing 7.5% decrease, and the absolute velocity decreased slightly, while the
pressure drop remained constant for the three tested angles.
