Demons Engines, as the violator of the second law of thermodynamics was suggested by James Clerk Maxwell in his paper entitled II Theory of Heat" in 1871. Since that
time numerous versions of the demons have been proposed, and many physicists have attempted to resolve the conundrum of Maxwell's Demon. Only recently the ultimate
and final answer has been presented by the Theory of Computing. The Theory provides the reasons why demon's cannot violate the Second Law. The correct thermodynamic
interpretation of this situation would be to say the demons' engine increaes the entropy of its' memory in order to decrease the entropy of its' environment. The modern views of scientists in the fields of Statistics and probability, Information Theories, and Cybernetics has been extensively disscussed in the paper. The consistency of the Second Law with living organisms and its' credibility on the universal scale has also been disscussed.

The purpose of this project is the study of the natural gas {methane)steam reforming process through modeling and computer simulation.
The operating parameters will be determined and then the? effect of changing these parameters on the conversion and purity of the final products will be studied.
using computer simulation. The effect of the change in parameters will be studied along the lenght of the reactor and presented in this manner.
What is new in this project, is the emphasis On obtaining the relationships among the parameters in the selected kinetic and mathematical models and the operating conditions at any point in the reactor In most of the past simulations, average values have been used for parameters such as reaction temperature, specific heat, viscosity, molecular weight, deffusitivity effectiveness factor, etc. However, in the Present work, an attempt has been made to develop accurate and (where possible) simple relations for these parameters as a function of temperature, pressure and conversion along the length of the reactor.

variation of Natural Frequencies Between Modes

It has been proved that natural frequencies are stationary at the natural modes. Also it has been shown that at the first mode it is a minimum and for systems with finite number of degrees of freedom the highest frequency is maximum (reference 1 and 2). Beyond these Statements nothing more can be said about the
behavior of the natural frequencies without defining precisely the manner in which the function w(x) is to be varied.
In this paper two forms of Lagrange interpolation formula is used by which the mode shape may be varied smoothly from one natural mode to the next by varying a single parameter P. Thus it is possible to plot the Rayleigh's quotient, R(P),
over as many natural modes desired. Clarifying this interesting and important subject, the method is applied for flextural vibration of beams with .different end conditions and the results are plotted for both of the interpolation.

The problem of creation and subsequent propagation of bore has been examined and studied by a number of investigators Who They Were interested in unsteady flow
problems for which sudden changes in either flow or depth or both occur.
In this paper, the shock Conditions and the method of Characteristics for Predicting the downstream flooding produced by a dam failure. In the dam-break Problem when there is some water initially below issued the dam, we determined the
solution for bore propagation by assuming instant formation of the bore.
The method used in this paper was based on a rectangular, horizontal channel for which the boundary resistance was assumed to be zero. The analytical Solution of this problem is compared with the experimental data which are in good agrement.
Using only a hand-held calculator and the dimensionless graphs presented herein, the engineers may within minutes prodoce forecasts of the dam-break floodwave, shock speed, maximum height of the bore, discharges, and travel times.

In this Paper, after a brief descreption of structural base isolation technique to reduce the destructive earthquake effects a simple method for dynamic analysis of these structures is presented. Here; the isolated structure is replaced by a SDCF oscillator . so that spectrum analysis may be easily applied.
Although this method is based on having the same spectrum responses for real and equivalent systems, it ','ill be seen that their time history responses are also
identical. This is a useful tool that makes the designer to decide whether to use the base isolator for speciefied structure and is more important that with this technique, the psedu static analysis of structures for earthquake loads, can be replaced by a simple, exact and practical spectrum analysis.

The star-mesh transformation allows the reduction of nodes in an electrical circuit.
The Gauss elimination method allows the reduction of unknowns in a system of linear
Equations . Triangular decomposition can be used to find the inverse of a matrix.
In this paper the coherence between these methods are discussed. It is shown
that the Gauss elimination method gives the same formula for star-mesh transformation.
It is further shown that the element B of the upper triangular matrix B obtained by triangular decomposition of the admittance matrix G is the admittance between the nodes 2 and K if the node I is eliminated. And the element B is the admittance
1J between the nodes i and j if the nodes 1 through i-1are eliminated . Similarly the element B of the upper triangular matrix B obtained by decomposition of the inductance matrix is the mutual inductance of the coils i and j if the coils 1 through i-1 are short circuited. The element C of the corresponding lower triangular matrix, is the noload voltage ratio of the coils i and k if the coils 1 through i-1 are short circuited.

Static analysis of Sandwich Constructions Subjected to pressure and concentrated loads with the Use of finite element method has been discussed in this paper. Because of difficulties involved in analytical solution for most of the practical problems. an efficient computer programs has been developed that can be executed on a PC/XT computer and solves complicated problems easily and economically.
The numerical results obtained from three examples shows the reliability of finite element method and the computer programs.
